The Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia (WECSZ)

Elephant Charge support aids WECSZ in servicing in excess of 1400 school clubs with yearly Environmental Education print magazines, training of teachers to manage their respective school clubs together with the production and airing of an Envinornmental Education Radio programme (Chongololo Club of the Air) on 10 radio stations nationwide.

WECSZ distributes at least 10,000 copies of Chongololo and Chipembele Club magazines nationwide to school clubs through the organisations’ national branches, a network of focal persons and strategic partners and is reaching out to young children and youths of Zambia with conservation information.

WECSZ ensures to provide them with platforms and skills necessary to enable them mitigate and adapt to a changing climate through linkages for young children and youths to industry experts in the conservation sector, most of whom have been Chongololo and Chipembele Club members.
