Wildlife & Environmental Society Of Zambia
WECSZ is a membership-based NGO promoting harmonious co-existence between humans and nature through education, research, advocacy, and ecosystem conservation. Since 1972, they’ve run the Chongololo and Chipembele Conservation Clubs, an environmental education program in partnership with Zambia’s Ministry of Education. Their work ensures sustainable ecosystems and inspires future generations to protect Zambia’s natural heritage.

Chitungulu Foundation
The Chitungulu Foundation operates in and around the remote village of Chitungulu, near Luambe National Park. It focuses on environmental education and sustainable community development, aligning conservation with local growth. Key projects include birding classes for children, pre-guide training for aspiring field guides, and annual tree-planting initiatives. Recently, the foundation has sponsored Chitungulu’s first field guides, creating role models for a new generation of conservationists.

International Crane Foundation
The International Crane Foundation supports the Kafue Flats Restoration Partnership in Zambia. Partnering with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, the foundation works across Lochinvar National Park, Blue Lagoon, and the surrounding Game Management Area—spanning 6,500 square kilometers. The initiative aims to halt wildlife population declines, including the endemic Kafue Lechwe, and restore these species to their historic levels.
